I believe Teledesic is targeted for high bandwith users such as business and homes using the internet/video etc. The theory goes that high speed voice and data would be available globally.

It should be interesting to see how well qcom's WLL and others using cdma penetrates high bandwith market. I would think that direct competition would be from the Winstar's/ ARTT as well as cable who are trying to provide highbandwidth. Hope some of this helps. Thanks. Web.
