Thanks Raz, very good points, it's been very difficult to find info from Kazakstan<gggg>, I may try to get in touch with D. Chance, the writer for Reuters that put out the July 10 article, see if he did any background or whether his info came only from AIPN. It's starting to "feel" like the wild card here (beside the validity of the "find") may the Kazakstan government and what their actual role is. Your drilling engineer friend would be a most welcome addition. bp
