The new range is based on years of NDS experience in the video compression market and has been developed to deliver the
most cost-effective broadcast quality encoders on the market, starting at prices under $35,000. The NDS E5000 range is part
of NDS' complete end-to-end solutions for all digital broadcasters, including ATSC HDTV and DVB compliant systems for
DTH and DTV broadcast services.
The NDS E5000 range offers huge flexibility thanks to a multitude of modular option cards which are easily inserted, ensuring
that the encoders can be configured to meet the needs of many customer specific requirements. The new NDS E5000
Encoders incorporate extensive bit rate ranges and utilize the latest technologies to deliver a product mix that incorporates the

E5210 for cost-effective distribution and private networks
Without compromising on quality the E5210 is extremely cost effective but still comes packed full of features designed to
maximize functionality. The E5210 combines MPEG-2 4:2:0MP@ML encoding with a host of features such as spatio
temporal noise reduction, 16 pre-set and user definable operating modes, local and remote control and an easy to use front
panel control with LCD display, making it an excellent match of price and performance.
E5410 for the contribution market
The E5410 combines both 4:2:0MP@ML and 4:2:2P@ML MPEG-2 encoding and offers the very best performance and
user friendly functionality, without a high cost of ownership. The E5410 takes the E5210 feature set and builds on this by
including the provision to operate in both 4:2:0MP@ML mode and 4:2:2P@ML mode with a bit rate range of 1.5 to
15Mbit/s and 1.5 to 45 Mbit/s respectively.
The inclusion of features such as noise reduction, 3:2 pull down, extensive VBI coverage and customer specific tailoring,
together with the ability to run with a wide bit rate range and low delay in 4:2:2P@ML mode make the E5410 ideal for the
contribution market.
E5610 for high end contribution and distribution
Based on an NDS designed compression solution, the new E5610 encoder provides the best possible quality MPEG-2
4:2:0MP@ML and 4:2:2P@ML encoding for a wide range of applications over an impressive bit-rate range. With its unique
design, including NDS' Fully Exhaustive Motion Estimation, the E5610 encoder sets new standards in encoding performance.
The E5610 gives the highest quality images at very low bit rates, while keeping the cost of ownership low and very affordable.
The E5610 encoder is packed with advanced features such as spatio temporal noise reduction, ultra low delay mode, internal
test pattern generation, logo insertion, 3:2 pull down for flawless picture quality. In addition, the E5610 includes full support for
NDS Reflex(TM), the sophisticated statistical multiplexing solution which dynamically changes the bit-rate of a channel from
