Short/Long on the same ticket.

No can do. The short account is a different account than the long account.

The Long account is "Type 1" or "Type 2" (margin), and the Short Account is either "Type 4" or "Type 6" (I don't recall which is which).

So if you are long 2,000 SPY and want to sell 2,000 and short 2,000 at the same time it is two trades.
