There are NO liberal talkshows in the LA area, a supposed bastion of liberalism. But that is going to change fast. Gore got more votes than Bush so there is a whopping audience out there for truly entertaining progressives. The democrats want Clinton to play a role in it. He would be great. He and Carville are the best yackers in the party has and both could out-do Hannity or Limbaugh. For one thing, they're funnier and smarter. But the real talkshow hosts will be lesser known. Maybe some gems in the bunch. As for Kerry being an elitist, if that were true then when he was at Yale with Bush he'd have dodged the draft like Bush did. But he volunteered for combat and was a stellar combat leader. meanwhile Bush went AWOL from the Air Guard and was never disciplined because of Daddy. Kerry had no such powerful Daddy helping him. Kerry also would be for estate tax cuts if he were an elitist. He and his very rich friends stand to gain big-time from Bush's cuts, but he wants to rescind them instead and give the money to the less fortunate who need it and will actually spend it. That is real selfless leadership to benefit the middleclass. Meanwhile the Bush elitists line their own pockets with almost every policy they make, from allowing more pollution by power plants and autos, to keeping drug companies and HMO's safe from litigation to to huge defense contracts, corporate welfare, oil deeds to tax cuts aimed at their own income bracket - that is the very top bracket. If you like the "me first" elitist party, then vote Republican. Many middle Americans like the GOP slogans but dont realize most of them are being screwed by their own party. At least the bottom 75% of earners in this country are taking it up the you-know-what over the longterm with Bush's economic policies. And even the rich aren't doing that well seeing the portfolios dry up year after year. So why will anyone still vote for Bush in 2004? We'll see how many do. Kerry will inspire millions of new voters to add to the Democrat base. Many vets, common sense conservatives and moderates will see a man they can trust in Kerry and dump Bush. It would help a lot though if Kerry runs with McCain. But Edwards would do the trick too.
