London Share Prices Higher

LONDON (AP) -- Share prices were higher on the London Stock Exchange Wednesday as markets settled after a series of devastating terrorist attacks in the United States.

The Financial Times-Stock Exchange 100-share index ended up 136.1 points, or 2.8 percent, at 4,882.1.

Provisional volume was 2.2 billion shares, compared to 2.7 billion Tuesday.
