CBOT to reopen most pit, electronic trade Thursday

CHICAGO, Sept 12 (Reuters) - The Chicago Board of Trade said Wednesday it will reopen pit and electronic trading on Thursday for all products except equity index contracts.

The CBOT said it will open outcry pit trading at the normal times on Thursday morning for debt futures and options, agricultural futures and options and precious metals futures and will trade a full session.

The CBOT said a decision to reopen trading in its equity index futures, such as Dow Jones industrial average futures, will be made in conjunction with other financial markets and regulatory authorities.

The CBOT said it will reopen electronic a/c/e trading for its debt products at 7:20 a.m. CDT (1220 GMT) Thursday and will restart its agricultural products on a/c/e at 8:30 a.m. CDT (0130 GMT) on Thursday, their normal a/c/e times.

The CBOT shut all trading Tuesday morning after the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. It remained closed on Wednesday.
