You have seen very little because this is all still in the very early stages. AMD is seeking a buyer but has not found one for it programable logic division. There for it has no financial impact yet.

Yes you are correct Compaq was one of AMD's big design wins for the Interwave chip. I don't think dropping the product will hurt AMD in regards to its K6. I was disappointed though to hear that it was a design flaw that caused it demise.
