re: He really doesn't get it. The "blogosphere" is not some monolithic entity. Usually when the press talks about the "blogosphere," they're referring to Daily Kos and a few affiliated sites. But there are something like 40,000,000 blogs out there. I really wasn't referring to his attack on the netroots. I reread the article and can understand why the bloggers are really pissed. Where I think he is right is that for the Dems to win they need to keep towards the center. I've watched the failed attempts by Howard Dean, Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern. And I watched Bill Clinton win. The center is an ever-moving place but it is where the votes are. The Dems are always at a disadvantage because they are perceived as the Mommy party. They got beat to death in '04 by 'soft on terrorism'. Whoever is the Dem candidate needs to come off as a decisive "commander in chief" or they won't win. Period. I personally think Obama would make the best President. But I think Hillary would make the best candidate.
