JT; RE:" Schwuchtel-Porsche "
There are no curves in this part of Texas, Juri :-(
>I've prefered to ride my "Schwuchtel-Porsche"* to Saarbrcken.
I miss the Pacific Coast Highway outside of San Francisco. Lots of canyons and very few politi to get in the way. I had to change my driving style when I got back to TheStates, too - they do not "draft" here on the expressways - they call it "tail-gating", and if you try to draft, they step on their damn brakes (scares the hell out of you). I remember getting on the expressway just outside the peripherique in Paris, we would get in a line and draft all the way to Luxembourg at 160+ kph, in the rain. WTH, we were all driving good German cars anyway (^_^)
>And here we have ISDN! It's like biking with wind in the back. Every new quote causes a little "knack", that precise and fast all data comes. Great feeling.
I know exactly what you mean - dad had ISDN set up here, too - and so I am enjoying the effortless bandwidth as well. I'd like to try that @home cable connection - what do you think about those, Juri ? They were just testing it in the 6e arrondisment dans Paris when I left town, and I was scheduled to beta-test it there (I was using RNIS Numeris Duo, 128 ko in Paris, NOKIA+GSM when mobile). You would like the GSM + Laptop setup -- are you still running a ThinkPad ?
CSCO and DELL strength surprised me today - I thought they would decay a bit more, backfill their gaps. Nice timing on the LDE's, (as usual) - King Leap !
