Great post.

If I were to rely on one tenet of a trading system it would be as Rick said, NEVER LET A STOCK GO AGAINST YOU. A great trader told me that when I first got started and how he was right.

Truly it is the only rule. Everything else is a derivative of the first.

Only difficulty is, on paper and in practice are two worlds apart.

A quick example, I am very much sticking to the internets for my daily bread. The definition of "against you" certainly changes in this group of names. Spreads a mile wide and trading channels even wider. It is hard to explain in one post, but sometimes one of these stocks can get two or three points against me, and in truth its not against me at all, I just may be guilty of a sloppy entry.
