Eric you asked regarding Groupwise: "What about 20% to 30% in 1997?"

Yes, it can represent 20%, 30% or for that matter 80% but only because the other products and in particular NetWare 4.x may not be selling.
The % is not the important factor. It is the growth that will be the key.

I don't know how many times to say this but MSFT Exchange is going to be the defacto standard. The reason: because they have the products people want on their workstations.

This afternoon, I had a meeting with several people in which I mentioned that I had installed the NetWare Windows 32--bit client on my workstation in place of the MSFT 32-bit client. Man, did I put myself in front of the firing squad. I was told to remove it and install MSFT 32-bit client. This thing with standardizing MSFT software on client workstations is very strong in a lot of Fortune 500 corporations.

MSFT Exchange Server will no doubt become the defacto standard. It runs on NT of all things. We in particular are planning an Exchange
implementation by year end.

Anyone who tells us that Groupwise sales will increase is living on cloud-9. The new release only runs on NW 4.x like every other product NOVL is creating. NetWare 4.x sales are the key. It it is successful, then the other products have a better than average chance.
