I think the smarter crowd is still at dinner, but while we're waiting for their return...I'm still mulling it over. Looking at the map, it seems to make a lot of sense. They have abutting properties in the southwestern part of the Basin (near Titan's Castle North/South properties). Dejour has most of the Virgin Trend, Titan has chunks on both the north and south ends of it. They have some other co-located chunks on the southern edge of the Basin, too. Dejour seemed to be leaning in the direction of being an O&G company, so I think they should go with their strengths. I find these combo plays to be questionable, for the most part. Sounds like Titan will get a few folks from the Dejour geo team, so they will get the accumulated knowledge along with the properties. We'll see how the market reacts tomorrow...
