Mark - Re: "the disenfranchisement of the 70% of the U.S. population without a PC.. Since the 70% of the population without PCs is probably not very computer literate , I doubt that these people independently conceived the idea of a network computer. In fact, their idea of "network" is probably NBC, CBS, ABC or FOX ! My recollection is that Larry Ellison of Oracle originated the idea and tried to proselytize the concept so that he could replace Microsoft's mononpoly (and maybe Intel's) with one of his own. Simple economics and greed at work - the basis of American Capitalism. Paul
