Young: "Why the combo?" The only reason I can see for a combo Zip/1.44 drive is for laptops. And even there is would do no good, since a combo would be a half-height drive, and laptops use thin drives. A much better solution is the swapable drive. Sell the laptop with whatever drive the user wants, and let him buy the others later.
