Actually that isn't true bid...A box is a perfectly legitimate answer to a margin call. I have seen it done many times. Check with a knowledgeable fellow in the loan section of your brokerage house. For my brokerage house it allowed the equity position to get down to 5% (since the net exposure is negligible) without a margin call.
