Yes -- it goes in config.sys. I tried lastdrive=h and lastdrive=d just to see what would happen. set at "d", it simply ignored my cdrom. Set at "h", it was the same as without a lastdrive command. So, I left config.sys blank.

All FAT32

E: is not an option. F: is the first one available. Windows KNOWS that E: is there, just won't admit it. It really needs its registry twisted...
