FWIW: IMO, there is absolutely nothing wrong with SS here. SS is many peoples JOB and those who feel compelled to guilt and wish ill fate to those so inclined are truly those in need of some soul searching. Short selling is my liveleyhood and my passion. IMO the victims of this tragedy especially those connected to the financial community would want nothing more than to have people resume their lives as per usual. I am not of the camp that believes being a "TRADER" and thus opportunistic will cause fundamental damage to the economy. Currently I am not short, and not because of bullshit guilt, (which is without merit) but because I went long oil and gold. I wish all traders well and hope no one starts questioning their compassion. Anyway, time to get back to work! Moral and compassionate Jefferson.
