My take on Mr. Grove et al is that they are SHARE driven not MARGIN driven. They learned that lesson after the Japanese beat their brains in in the early '80's. Following a share strategy, Intel will likely pursue the NC business IF they believe it will substantially add to share. Right now it is not clear that the NC will be able to do that. It appears to be a niche product that will replace dumb terminals. At least, that's the way I believe IBM is selling it. IMHO, where Intel can grow best in this environment is selling the server (P6) chips that the NCs are hooked up to. HL
