A little bit of WIND news from yesterday . . .

* NATIONAL SEMI unveiled its design for a new microprocessor for
use in Web TV browsers and Internet-based network computers,
priced at under $200 per chip. Called "Odin," its a 486-based
chip built around NSM's NS486SXF embedded processor for use in
home TV Web browsers and low-cost network computers connected to
central machines running MSFT's Windows NT. Other companies
involved are: TRIDENT MICRO, ROCKWELL INTL, INTG. SYSTEMS, SUN
MICRO, MICROWARE, WIND RIVER SYST and others. (Reuters 08:11 AM
