It does not make you any more likely to go shoot people in real life. It doesn't even make you a more aggressive person.

True - however, they can make you think more tactically to maximize opportunities. Of course the lesson could be used in other ways - even that chinese war book Sun Tzu "The Art of War" is claimed to a be a business must read. :-)
