I started the Charts for Breakout thread because the market was going through a transition from an investment market to a trading market. My intended thread members were experienced SI Premium Members (the real SI members). I stopped posting at the thread because the thread attracted a great numbers of beginning SI Basic Members (the SI euphemism for visitors) who logged on to SI to look for stock tips. Quote from a recent article by Laszlo Birinyi "You might get the impression my outlook for 2001 is less than exuberant. It's just that it's hard to figure out who the winners will be. My advice is to cash in at every opportunity and not look for long-term gains. An in the forth quarter of a close game, you have to take what the defense gives you."
