FORD

Indeed, Ford bought those CD players from other manufacturer, so did Microsoft. Microsoft pay license fees for every copy of IE 4.0 to Spyglass Inc. In other word Microsoft bought Internet Explorer from other company, just the same like Ford bought the CD players form other manufacturer. If you don't believe me look at the help about of Internet Explorer and click on the copyright information.

Ford does not have to required all dealership to install Ford CD player, since it is a standard equipment. so is a modern operating system it should be equipped with surfing the net capability. Now Microsoft bundle its Internet explorer with Windows 95 and Windows NT. This is a diversion tactic from the DOJ to take out some heat from Congressional inquiries about campaign funding on Janet Reno. Unfortunately the media play along with it.

Sorry it just happens that in this Microsoft and Netscape thing there are not much other CD players manufacturers.
