Gold Thread, To: John Hunt, From: Jim McMannis Friday, May 21 1999 Looks like the EuroCBs have gone to the well too many times. Who's going to bid up gold now? What will they do when the paper Euro goes sub $1? Sell more gold and get less cash to back the Euro? Looks like they are sucking themselves into a black hole. I suggest everyone sell their gold, driving it lower, closing mines, trashing the EuroCBs cash potential from selling gold. They started it, let it finish them. I really thought it was a pathetic statement when they pegged the Euro at more than $1. Jim
