When you analyze the type of people mounting the Tea Party protests, you might conclude that 30,000 is enough, and the equal to 300,000 that attend, oh, say, one of those peace marches we used to get in the 60s and 70s.

Peace Marchers (Million Man March, what have you) had nothing to lose. Many of them had nothing else to do and it was a big party for them, flavored with marijuana.

Tea Partiers are mostly employed, and traditionally politically inactive. They have too much to do already, but they're taking time to do this. They have been awakened, and their power is awesome.
