Peter, there are ~600,000 doctors in the US. There have been ~650,000 AIDS cases diagnosed. The present stimate is ~1mil HIV infected patients. There are only ~3700 recognized HIV specialists in the US, and the number is actually dropping. Believe me when I tell you that a very large number of patients are being cared for by doctors who are not specialists. JLL
