At $273 a year it may take several life times to recoup the cost.

Did you notice his meter runs backwards? In other words, the $273 is the price the city pays for his surplus electricity. He also saves the money he would normally spend for electricity during the course of a normal year.

That was not a particularly long or complicated article.....yet you missed some of the more salient points. Did you realize how hard you work to make things like solar energy wrong? Think about it.
