Maybe Sony's mobile 800 isn't even mobile chip at all. They may have just bought up some cheap desktop chips and voltage starved them, not unlike a recent attempt by AMD to flog some surplus 600,700's Supposing this piece of wild speculation were true, there would be two ways to look at this: -way to go AMD for grabbing mobile market share and stimulating infrastructure -AMD gets screwed again by underbinning, throws away ASP by shipping product with excessive headroom t.
