how did you know my life story? this "not to mention the unspeakable of a glitch somewhere closeby but not here" must be powerful. woe was the day of selling my '77 Olds Cutlass 4-door rust-mottled long-time beach cruiser for $1. it would have been just right for running thru Mojave at night without air conditioning. she ran like a champ with 160,000 mileage but did look disgraceful with too many miles on it to be worth restoring its appearance. had been saying that for years continuing to enjoy its smooth ride & incredible mechanical reliability. then a movie "Pulp Fiction" pulled my coat why a car with (even though clean and color-coordinated)cloth spreads covering the tattered seats might give an unseemlier appearance than one had previously suspected. So then (yes you're right) while on the way to look at dealers new leftovers saw a 4 door Volvo sky-blue Smurfmobile sedan in road rally classic condition with 4 on the floor, ice-blast airconditioning, & a lovely blue interior to match the paint too. couldn't resist it... then 2 late HA HA on me, smurfmobile-from-hell was all-functional only about 1/6 of the time it was usually one thing gets fixed drive it for a short time contented again, til something else breaks wait for the part drive it if able if not, wait... then drive it briefly happy til something else breaks, wait for the part etc. A few years of this was enough, so said goodbye to Smurfmobile & said hello to a new leftover Taurus wagon. It runs good it looks like a UFO maybe you've seen those. It's got years yet til disgraceful, & That's The Happy Ending so far.
is everyone morphing around here or something?
might as well, I guess.
