My point is that they want to avoid a Electoral College issue for now and in the future. They want to decide the result before the Electoral College can exercise its procedure.

They already own the seaboard states. They need to get rid of the College. They don't want any more ties or close calls. They want it done by majority vote of the population, where a one vote margin assures the election. The Electoral College currently prevents that.

Bush-Gore is a good example. Gore had the popular vote but lost to Bush with the Electoral College vote.

This is what the democrats fear and they are determined to excise another right from you and me.
