Tom, i noticed that the index p/c ratios are comparatively market friendly...but the overall CBOE put/call 10-dma hit the lowest point i have ever seen it at on Friday. as for interest rates, perhaps the rise is a still ongoing reaction to the horrible current account and trade deficit numbers. considering the Fed's liquidity splurge and high stock prices, the current account can only worsen, unless the dollar goes down. but the dollar can not be allowed to go down, as this would pop the bubble. therefore, rates must go higher. but that could pop the bubble as well. imagine Greenspan at this juncture, decisions, decisions...<ggg>
