Do NOT buy stocks Monday for patriotic reasons. The notion being spread around to buy stocks for patriotic reasons is foolish.

Tragic it may be indeed, but the current events do NOT change the economic
outlook for the better. In fact, for many companies it will be worse due to
losses and additional anticipated slowdown. The fact that earnings are falling
does not change. The fact, that the American consumer and corporations are laden
with debt does not change. Many things do not change.

Buying stocks because you feel good about America is not a good reason. My advice
is to limit activity and do NOT buy stocks. Let the big brokers and the government
try to stabilize the market first as retail investors do not have the capital nor
the resources to change the market, but brokers and government do. If THEY cannot
save a falling market, your retail buying isn't going to make a squat of a
difference and you will be making a losing proposition.
