Dear JFD and Thread: When questioned by the press after the infamous FOF Friday: "Mr Gates, what are you going to do now? " His response was a classic understatement of determination: "We will continue working to develop the best software." In this highly COMPETITIVE environment, we are beginning to see the fruits of this determination. I am heartened that this juggernaut of a company is 'keeping its eye on the ball'! These recent up-ticks are nice, but the gut tells me it is only the beginning of stellar growth for MSFT shareholders. When the big bully is coming after you with a big stick, you don't have time to look back.
