Low Cost PCs... Larry, The following is a learning area for me
to uncover the different operating systems beside Windows.

Not to confuse myself too much, but i believe that us talking
about personal computers, the hardware for 99.99% of us
is either Steve Job's Apple, or the IBM/Intel chip set, mother board
or whatever one wants to call the architecture of the electronics
that actually carry out the instructions of the software.

The URL below is into Wal-Mart.com and i believe these items
are not available in stores, buy only through their web site that
will have them shipped to your location. It was a few months
ago that i noticed these and i remember that i was able to go
to the manufacture's web site directly and bypass Wal-Mart
completely, but it seemed it cost more that way. But i now
remember they sold their hardware without any OS loaded
for a reduced price. Anyway, i plan on buying the complete
pc at Wal-Mart (monitor included) like the eMachine for $499
that has Windows XP loaded, and then i'll save everything
to CDs with backups of the backups :o) and reformat
the hard drive and reload everything, and once everything works
as initially out of the box i will make that single hard drive into
two seperate boot'able drives like i have on my current pc
and load Windows XP on the default boot one and Lindows
onto the second. Actually i'll make a very small third partition
that boot'able and load that $99 Coherent Unix i now have on
my second boot'able hard drive... but then i might as well go
NUTsssssssss and make a fourth one and load Windows 3.1
of my current pc.
