Gateway to report earnings on 10/12. They did not warn. Dell and Apple did. Dell to report on 11/9 and Apple on 10/18. Gateway is likely to set the tone for PC box makers. Looking at Apple's $1.79 estimate 2001 EPS on yahoo and calculated that it's trading at around 12 P/E while S&P 500 in 30's. That's about 60% discount or more. If they give 2001 guidance of $2.00, IMO it should pop above $30. Am I beating drums for Apple. I sure am!
