Yes.

And in many areas well above the minimum you need to be middle class.

Even in CA an NY the median family income for a family of 4 is only about 25% more than that. And the middle class isn't limited to those at or above the median.

And please list the other "more and more subsidies to the middle class".

The majority of social spending goes to middle class people. Since you have new social programs and expanded social programs over time, you get more and more transfers to or subsidies for middle class people.
