"Must be a delta time in there, though." Well, we can hope so, but I'm not so sure. The market is forward looking, and responds to anything it can find that can be interpreted as a leading indicator. That is why, in past downturns, the stock prices of semiconductor equipment companies have started falling while earnings were still rising.
