Dumb move on Carney's part, but he's part of the Davos crowd and likely the original architect of the tax, since he was advising Trudeau. A retroactive tax to boot. Is that legal? They could have delayed implementing for 30 days, it could have been part of the broader discussion with the Americans, just as asked. It was bad faith for Carney not to do so. Which President Trump clearly understood, given his response.

CTV shows how far they've fallen, bringing in a former NDP leader to opine, since the NDP generally doesn't have a clue how business works nor why/how policy changes impact business.
