joe, there is no way to be virtually certain about too much of anything....other than death and the irrationality of crowds.....imho i am wary of any newspaper article on buffett.....around here we have a guy who wrote errors about him....he used to review movies....if you want to learn about buffett p/up books by andrew kilpatrick and janet lowe.....buffett tends to be misquoted b/c the press doesnt listen to what he says.....for example he didnt say that berkshire was overvalued 1.5 yrs ago.....he said it was not undervalued....there is a distinction..... also if you call berkshire they have a reprint of old letters to shareholders.....if you study buffett he doesn't always buy and hold for eternity.....he bought general dynamics and sold in 2 yrs.....i believe he doubled his money.....his target value, not price, for the company was achieved........buffett has been known to arbitrage when one company announces acquisition of another too...... look back at some of the postings......imho....if utek grows at 30%....eps goes from about $1.76 to $6.54.....with a p/e of 20 the company is worth about $130.....i have no crystal ball but if they grow at 20% i will be a satisfied shareholder.....there value will become more appreciated when the overall market earnings revert back to 6% increases per yr....then the semi equip sector will become extremely attractive... lars
