Gus > it is a deliberate attempt to shield an embarrassing truth. That's the way I see it -- and it's disgusting. I know Bush & Co are dishonest, I know they are ruthless, I know they care f-all for anyone but themselves, but what this indicates to me is they are running scared. They feel by hiding the truth of the extent of the Katrina disaster they will minimise their own culpability and negligence. But they will not get away with it. Eventually, and it will take time, the truth will out. Real statistics will be collected by someone. Of course, W knows this but he hopes by then he'll be gone and the coffee will fall on someone else.
