Jim, I have sold a total of three of all ipos I have ever been allotted. Holding has multiplied my investment fourfold. I certainly can't complain about that and doubt that flipping and looking for the next best train would have beaten it. And, it's really tough to know within a few days or weeks how the street will receive the new issue. I can think of one other stock I have purchased (within my 8 month "ipo game" time frame) that has quadrupled on its own - ORCL. I have ONE ipo that is underwater - IGOC.
