Herb himself pulled a boner in that article: "S&P wasn't impressed; they put MU on Credit Watch with negative implications." Yep, about a quarter ago, Herb! (Although the baffling tense of the S&P press release on 6/18 certainly would (mis-)lead one to that conclusion if he didn't read it very carefully.) The lack of an immediate S&P downgrade (a la TXN) can be interpreted in only one way: issuing another billion in debt didn't hurt the credit rating at all. Such a deal!
