At first glance, the report doesn't look too bad. The big negative I see is Flash Memory which caused Intel to miss the earnings and hurt margins. Japan was also weak, but that was expected. Revenue was actually at or above estimates (Paul, you were right on as usual), therefore core business seems good, but expenses high (PII?). The earnings outlook for 4Q seems o.k. with revenue and margins slightly up, and I'm sure Intel is being ultra-conservastive now. Hopefully, Intel will get a higher mix of PII in there for a positive surprise. Probably will see 4Q estimates declining a nickel to around $.95. All in all, this is not a report that will send a stock tumbling, especially with its recent declines and expectations for a rough 4Q. good luck
