Goldman removes Barrick GOLD from Buy List..

I'm not an ABX fan, but Goldman's analysis (below) reads more like a reason to pound the table on it than to remove it from their Buy list.

We are removing Barrick Gold from the Americas Conviction Buy List as near term
catalysts (i.e. the conclusion of the NovaGold acquisition), and weaker than expected
gold prices in 3Q2006 have kept Barrick shares range-bound. Since we added
Barrick to the Conviction Buy List on August 2, shares have declined 6.3% versus an
8.2% increase in the S&P 500. Over the past 12 months, shares have increased
19.6% versus a 13.1% gain for the S&P 500.
