I think this is more about the oil we'll need in 5-10 years when peak oil really starts to bite. But you folks don't believe in peak oil anyway, so why worry? <g> I think the proposed Alaska North Slope offshore drilling in the ice-choked Chuckchi and Beaufort seas is rather dodgy. The development costs are huge and the environmental dangers are scary. I'd rather lock it up and drill the California coast in Nancy Pelosi's back yard! snowshoe@nimby.com
