I Thessalonians 2 13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. God's servant need not be of high scholastic standing before he is of value in the Lord's harvest. His servant must apply that "which effectually worketh" as "faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Believing and preaching God's word is more important than contending it's authenticity and inspiration. God's word, when studied by any committed to Him, will accomplish the purpose that He sends it out for, in both the Christian and whomever else he or she shares it with. "The Life and Ministry of Gipsy Smith" by Ed Reese quotes this world evangelist (45 Atlantic Ocean crossings sharing the word of God) with having said.... "I didn't go through your colleges and seminaries. They wouldn't have me... but I have been to the feet of Jesus where the only true scholarship is learned."
