ISOTEC Inc. OTCBB (WLDC) New Generation of Entrance/ Exit Control Systems Isotec offers state-of-the-art automated detection and access control for building entrances, labs, schools, banks, offices and stores. Denver, Colorado, June 15, 1999: Isotec Incorporated, manufacturer of high tech entrance access and security systems, announced today the development of the next generation of passage control technology that brings new levels of security to governmental, educational, scientific and commercial locations.
"This new product line represents a quantum advance in passage control technology," stated Jim Alexander, President. "We have developed systems that will deter or virtually prevent weapons or explosive devices from entering a secured facility," he stated. "In addition, we can screen entrants using card readers, biometrics and TV surveillance ? all remotely controlled and checked through a PC database, if desired. Almost any level of access control is possible."
Advanced Technology
Current models on the production line include those being shipped to the U.S. Government where they will be used to grant access to personnel entering a security-sensitive area. Utilizing biometric technology linked to a database of authorized personnel, the system will allow the inner door to be opened only by those cleared and cross checked by scheduled work hours. It can also be remotely controlled from an administrative office and features an intercom in its foyer-like enclosure.
Principals in the company have over 20 years of experience designing systems for office building entrances, hazardous materials storage, airport towers, military bases, power plants, computer rooms, research labs, university housing, money handling rooms, banks and jewelry stores. Each system is designed both for the application and the type of building environment in which it will be located.
System Structure
"The basic unit is essentially a secured entrance/exit foyer containing metal sensors and screening devices," Alexander explained.. "We can add a host of options, depending on the location?s requirement. Some locations just want to screen personnel and then let them in. At the other end of the spectrum, a person can enter the enclosure through the front door, and if weapons are detected, can be secured by having the inner door lock shut. Deterrence can be further enhanced with the usage of bullet resistant glass." Added Paul Labarile, V.P. of Engineering, "these new models have the most advanced types of access control features available today on the world market. One new model under development features a high flow system which can handle very high volumes of traffic, such as at schools or manufacturing plants. We even have a design for the supermarket and convenience store market. For anyone that wishes to screen, identify or deter unauthorized persons from entering a facility, we have a particular technological solution."
Benefits of the System
With its ascetically pleasing design, an Isotec system offers many important benefits to its users:
Decreased physical threat to all personnel Eliminates contact with perpetrators Lowers cost of expensive guard personnel while increasing their safety User friendly design doesn?t intimidate personnel Provides emergency egress Wheelchair accessible Low maintenance; can even lower insurance premiums
Operating Considerations
Isotec offers a series of single and multiple-lane designs. In high traffic locations a series of entranceways can be designed to handle large volumes of ingress/egress in short periods of time. The monthly lease cost, for example,. of a series of five linked modules at such a high density location, would be less than the cost of one security guard. The company also offers a full line of other security products, such as a 1-way traffic "optical turnstile" which can secure fire exit doorways, card accessible security doors, high discrimination walk-through metal detectors and hand-held metal detectors.
