er. . . that was in an earlier life.

Sounds like my earlier life...<g> Why is it that all the good skinny dipping sites were in VT? We used to go to this place a few miles from the Union Village Dam, called the potholes. Beautiful site were the river was split by an island of rock... The river dug out a series of potholes the size of a large spa. We'd spend the day there, sunning, swilling Schlitz Draft(back when it was drinkable), while nibbling on Townhouse crackers and Vermont Cheddar..... Ah, those were care free days.

During the peak foliage times we'd visit this place just outside of Woodstock called Blue Gate Hill. It overlooks the town of Pomfret which looks like your typical NE town of yesteryear. National Geo included a picture from BGH when they did an issue on NE..... Wish I could find a good picture of Pomfret...
