That's odd, Kenneth...

Of course, the Democrat, who was Al Gore's running mate in 2000, means the United States Senate. But he really belongs on the other side of the aisle with the Republicans.

According to this site: senate.gov

Joe Lieberman is listed as an Independent. This sums it up best:

A three-term incumbent, Mr. Lieberman lost his party’s renomination in the Aug. 8 primary to Ned Lamont, a Greenwich millionaire and former selectman who ran on a crisp antiwar message. Mr. Lieberman announced he would run as an independent against Mr. Lamont and the Republican nominee, Alan Schlesinger, this fall.

I don't recall any of his fellow Democrats coming to his aid when that happened. Sounds like sour grapes to me from the author. And it sounds like you have received a new batch of marching orders from your handlers. You are such a DNC parrot...:)
