Usually the only people really concerned with deflation are talking heads on CNBC. The inflation pendulum has swung from the high inflation of the late 70's to nearly zero inflation in 1998. Now, we are told that deflation is at our door step with an almost assured collapse of the world economy. The inflation / deflation pendulum is one of the same. We cannot go from "no danger from inflation" to "economic meltdown" without having the pendulum swing far into the deflation side.
